On November 9th we hosted a launch part for Core Concepts’ winter 11/12 line. We’ve carried Core Concepts products for 4 years, but this is our first event with them. For those of you who don’t know, Core Concepts is a small clothing company out of Boise. They focus on laying pieces that are functional and fashionable. We particularly love their Alpine Pants, and last year our customers made it pretty clear they they love the Whiskey River Hybrid Shirt. You can check out all we carry from Core Concepts on their vendor page. You can also run over to their website to see their entire collection.
The launch party was great fun, and we used it to support a great cause, the Snowrider Project. This group does terrific work to raise awareness for the environmental impact of snow sports on the environment, and have also begun to work on access rights for winter sports enthusiasts. We work a lot with Snowrider and were very happy to help them raise some funds for the upcoming season. Please take some time to check out their website and, hopefully, volunteer with these great folks.
Other than the free beer provided by Widmer Brothers, the highlight of the evening were the terrific raffle prizes. The big winners for the evening were Matt and Jessie (above), who teamed up and won three separate raffle drawings, including a year’s supply of Red Bull. Christian (right) was also a big winner, getting a Smith Maze helmet, Oakley Splice goggles and a Smith t-shirt. Congratulations to all our winners!
Thanks to all who attended, we had a lot of fun and raised some money for a really great cause. Join us next year, we’re sure to put this on again!
