Intro to Adventure Biking and Happy Hour: April 8

Join us at the Mountain Shop for an Intro to Adventure Biking with Salsa Bike Representative Chuck Hood. This seminar is intended to be a basic introduction to the wonderful world of bike packing. Come learn the ropes with Chuck and plan your first adventure biking trip! There will be both adult and kid friendly beverages, and light snacks. See you there!

Filmed by Bike: April 19-22

The 12th Annual Filmed by Bike hosts some of the best bike movies from around the world! This year’s event features 45 film from 14 different countries, offering a glimpse into bike cultures from all around the globe. The festival is four days long at the Clinton Street Theater. Monster Cookie Metric Century: April 27

A great early season ride to loosen up your neglected bike muscles, the Monster Cookie Metric Century takes place in Salem. The course travels a portion of the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway, a calm, low traffic route on beautiful roads. The ride benefits The Salem Bicycle Club. Coast Hills Classic: May 4

This is the Third Annual Coast Hills Classic Mountain Bike Race, and as the name implies, you’ll be climbing some hills! If you want an awesome challenge this is the ride for you! A course that faces 1,600 ft. of elevation gain over 12 miles. Upon completion of this ride you’ll have bragging rights to hang over all your friends that opted out. Plus, the race raises funds for a scholarship at the Newport Recreation Center that helps financially burdened families participate in youth activities. You can register at coasthillsevents.com.

Pedal for People: May 10

Head on down to Eugene for an awesome ride! Pedal for People is a benefit to support adults with developmental disabilities. Plus, your registration gets you pizza and local craft brewed beer! Talk about a win-win. The race offers a variety of courses for all levers from beginner to weekend warrior to leg-numbing expert. Check out their website for more info at: pedalforpeople.org.

Cycle Oregon: September 6-13

Cycle Oregon is an epic 7 day adventure that tours around this beautiful state of ours. Disconnect from your hectic life and hop on your bike. This year’s route tours the beautiful Columbia Gorge and its surrounding peaks. There are a few slots left, but they are filling up quickly. Snag your spot today!
