La Sportiva Quantum Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Think of the smooth ride of a Cadillac or a full suspension mountain bike; now apply that to your trail running shoes. That was the idea the designers of the Quantum had - smooth out the bumps. Thus was born the Morpho sole, a soft EVA sole that morphs to the contours of the ground. A firmer, ergonomically sculpted EVA layer above the foam, with an inset TPU heel cup, adds stability and torsional stiffness to your runs. While the fabric upper is built on a slip last, which means that the upper is sewn into a sock like shape, then glued to the midsole without the stiff, board like layer typically found in heavier-duty shoes. A slip last, often used in climbing shoes (La Sportiva's heritage), best mimics the foot's curved shape. The result is a shoe that wraps your foot more closely when you lace it snugly, reducing friction and the chance of blisters.
