Crossing Greenland by Ski and Dogsled
In May 2018, Eric Lillstrom guided a team of seven 550km (340mi or roughly the distance across Wyoming) across the Greenland Icecap. They traveled by ski with two teams of sled dogs for support. During the 25-day long expedition, the team experienced several storms (the strongest reaching wind speeds of over 70mph), traveled in temperatures dipping below -20C, explored an abandoned relic from the Cold War, and suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. They even had some fun along the way!

Dropped off on the Ice May 7th and would reach the East Coast on May 30th, 2018.

The team consisted of six ski team members and two Greenlandic mushers with their thirty-two Greenlandic huskies.
Crossing from West to East. Beginning in Kangerlussuaq and ending in Isortoq.
