Join us for a night with Mountain Shop's very own, Gary Lawton as he presents on his ultralight experience traversing the Wind River High Route. Gary will cover ultralight gear basics, food, shelter, daily mileage, and the best time of year to make this journey possible!

The Wind River High Route closely follows the Continental Divide Trail for approximately 80 miles, more than half of which is off trail. The route traverses nine passes between 11,500ft -12,000ft, has sections of 3rd class scrambling, and one glacier crossing.

“The Wind River High Route is in our opinion, mile for mile, the finest non-technical Alpine route in North America.”

-Alan Dixon, Don Wilson

Having competed the route last September, Gary completely agrees! “These were some of the best days I have spent in the mountains in a long time.”
