Join Teacup Nordic Coaches and Mountain Shop for a 2-hour lesson to Get Started Nordic Skiing!
What to Expect
This 2-hour lesson will take place outside at Teacup Nordic Center located at 53126 OR-35, Mt Hood, OR 97041 from 10am – 12pm (event checkin will be at 9:45am). We will meet either in the parking lot or at the Ray Gary Cabin a short walk or ski in from the parking lot to get started with the lesson at 10am. Recommendations for the day
Dress in layers as nordic skiing can get you warm but the temps will be cold and you may not be moving at some points during the lesson.
Required Gear
Nordic skate or classic specific skis, boots, and poles (both skate and classic lessons will be offered) are needed to participate in this class (these can be rented at the Mountain Shop and reserved ahead of time online if you do not own these. Must reserve 3-days in advance of pickup date if doing so online), a Sno Park permit is required to park at Teacup Nordic Center, and a Trail Pass is required to ski at Teacup for $20 cash.
Bring some snacks or lunch and an insulated bottle with warm tea or water always helps! Last of all, get excited! Nordic skiing is fun and you’ll get a chance to meet other local women and female identifying folks to get out with!
