All and Nothing: Inside Free Soloing is a comprehensive look at the relationship with risk and reward in free soloing, as well as a look at the psychology of those who partake and the media that fuels it. Writer and climber Jeff Smoot explores the interplay of climbing and risk and shares original interviews with dozens of free soloists. Smoot recounts his personal experiences climbing in the same era as talented climbers like Mark Twight and Peter Croft and the price he’s paid for his escapades. Immersive and personal, All and Nothing sheds light on the risks and rewards of following your passion when so much is at stake.
