Whitney La Ruffa, Naomi Hudetz, and Mike Unger spent the month of September exploring some of Oregon’s most remote mountains – the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon.
Come join us as we unpack their backpacking adventure in the Blue Mountains and the start in planning and exploration of a new long trail. We’ll learn about this rarely explored region of Oregon and the "adventures" they encountered including hiking 6 miles through a thigh-deep creek to avoid walls of poison oak and blackberry thorns. These experts will share their gear recommendations and how to make the most of the late Fall/early Winter backpacking season.
