Description

The Edelrid Ohm offers ease of use and enhanced functionality for climbing partners with significant weight differences. Featuring a new swivel joint, the device allows greater freedom of movement and eliminates concerns about clipping direction when attaching it to the first bolt. The locking system enhances safety by preventing accidental opening and simplifying rope insertion and removal. The Ohm reduces impact forces on the belayer, making it easier to control the descent of a heavier climber and minimizing collision risks during falls. Designed for single ropes from 8.9–11.0mm, it effectively compensates for weight imbalances by simulating an additional 25kg on the belayer.
