The Salathe helmet is an ultra-light, well-ventilated climbing helmet that features a hybrid design, combining a foam-injected EPP core with a partial ABS hard shell for optimal safety and minimal weight. It meets EN 12492 standards for side, front, and back impact protection. It includes an adjustable chin strap with an under-ear closure for added comfort, a robust hard shell in key areas for extra protection against rockfall, and an easily adjustable harness system for a secure fit. Large vents ensure airflow and heat dissipation, while headlamp attachment points provide added functionality. Designed for use with ski goggles, it is CE-certified for ski touring but does not meet EN 1077 ski helmet standards. The ergonomically shaped interior features removable, washable padding.
