REVIEW

It was Love at first sight with these skis! I knew just by looking at them, their width, shape, length and grippy Fischer Crown pattern, that the Adventure 62s would be the perfect ski for my adventurous Nordic needs, which almost NEVER lead me to groomed trails! Although I initially purchased them because I needed a non metal-edged ski to use for Skijoring with my dogs, the Adventure 62s have become my favorite grab in one hand, put them in the car and go explore new terrain ski! These skis have taken the dogs and me on countless adventures, from Forest Backroads and random Sno Parks, to unexplored, designated Cross Country ski trails. Our first time out we covered 5 miles in an hour and took on 10 mph hairpin turns like they were nothing! Our most recent long distance adventure was a 4 hour 13.5 mile circumnavigation of Diamond Lake. When I finally get to ski around Crater Lake in one day, this will likely be my ski of choice, as they provide adequate stability on mixed terrain, fabulous float on fresh powder and just enough speed on firmer packed snow and the occasional groomed trail. Unfortunately, without dog-assist mode, I’ll be a little slower on that adventure.

WHO IT'S FOR

This ski is great for someone who wants a fast, light set-up that can get them through mixed, Nordic terrain, but that can also perform well in low angle backcountry off-track conditions.

SIMILAR PRODUCTS

The closest product to the Fischer Adventure 62 would be the Fischer Spider 62. The Spider 62s are a similar grab and go ski, but they have metal edges, and are a bit stiffer than the Adventure 62s. The metal edges do allow the Spider 62s to perform well in icy conditions, but make them a dangerous choice for Skijoring with furry companions.

PRODUCT PAIRING

These skis pair great with the Fischer XC Control cross country ski boots. Add on a set of your favorite adjustable ski poles and you are ready to take on some fun off-track adventures!
