Tam McArthur Scrappy Ski Trip Report (6/19/2020)
I carried my skis for first 2 miles and put them on shortly after I topped out at the Rim. I was able to string together enough snow to make it all the way to the view point (4 miles in) and, even though SUPER scrappy, was well worth the effort! Voile Objective BC skis, with Dynafit Radical ST's and my Salomon MtnLab/SLab boots were the perfect setup for this adventure. The Cilo Gear 30Z Ski pack was great for hauling the VERY light Objective BC skis up the first 2 miles (which I hiked in my Chacos!) I took the scenic route down, which allowed for a little more connected snow on the descent.
